Women’s Intro to Ice Fishing Programs –
January 2022, PFBC, and Wellsboro Tackle Shack are offering two “Women’s Intro to Ice Fishing Programs”. The two programs are for women interested in learning ice fishing basics (e.g. equipment, safety, baits/lures, layering, trip planning, how to prepare and cook panfish, and trying out ice fishing). We provide the ice fishing gear, bait, instruction, gear reference packet, panfish recipes, and door prizes for FREE.
IMPORTANT NOTE –
Each of the available programs has TWO PARTs, a virtual part (Part 1) and an on-ice/in-person part (Part 2). By registering for one of the TWO program times below, you are also signing up to participate in the virtual part, which occurs on January 18, 2022 (6:30p.m.-8:30p.m.).

Part 1 (Virtual)– Provided virtually.
From the comfort of your home, you learn the following: basics of ice fishing equipment, ice safety, baits/lures, layering, planning a trip, and important health/safety logistics for Part 2 of the program.
Part 2 (On-ice/In-person) – Nessmuk Lake, Wellsboro, PA.
This part of the program includes a brief review of Part 1. After a brief review, you ice fish, with instructor assistance. The program ends with a chance to “taste” panfish, following a demonstration on how to prepare, fillet, and cook them.
