SUMMARY:Seasons of the Soul Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center is pleased to announce the November Main Gallery exhibit “Seasons of the Soul” photography by Shannon Davis. It will open with a reception from 2-4PM on Saturday\, November 4th. The reception is free and open to the public\, and light refreshments will be served. This is Shannon’s first solo exhibit. It includes color\, black and white\, and kaleidoscopic photos. It will be on display until Sunday\, November 26th.\nShannon graduated from Wellsboro High School in 1999 and has been taking photographs since her early teens. She loved photography class and developing her own photos in high school. Shannon has always taken tons of photos\, even back in the old film days. She has spent the last twenty years working in Ansonia for the Mountain Trail Horse Center\, the Burning Barrel Bar\, Pine Creek Outfitters\, and currently Ole’ Covered Wagon Tours as a driver. Her work in the beautiful Pine Creek Valley has given her access to many unique perspectives and situations.\nShannon’s “Seasons of the Soul” display is a collection of images from the last decade – usually just a moment in time in the superfast pace of life. Shannon finds that the little things can hold the most beauty. Most of her photographs are taken using that camera we all have these days – a cell phone. Shannon states that it seems sometimes the season of change is the only constant. DESCRIPTION:Basket-weaver\, Catherine Snyder\, will guide students to make a Berry Basket\, Hiking Basket\, or Foraging Basket on Saturday\, November 11th starting at 9:00 a.m.  Cost is $32.00 to $75.00 depending on choice of basket. Colorful hand-dyed reeds are also available. Bring a beverage and lunch or snacks. \nTo register for these classes\, please call the center at 814-274-8165.  The co-op cannot guarantee registration via Facebook or Messenger. The co-op is located at 227 N. Main Street and is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Saturday

SUMMARY:ISLAND PARK 150
DESCRIPTION:The “Island Park 150” will be held Saturday\, November 11th at 9:00am. The Island Park 150 is a challenge event where you decide the challenge. Participants will be given 150 minutes to complete as many loops as possible\, or desired\, on the Island Park 1.53 mile course. All participants will be guaranteed a custom event medal\, food\, drinks\, and fantastic giveaways. \nThe event will be chip timed by Falcon Race Timing with results being available online immediately following the event. Awards will be given to the top 3 male\, female\, male youth (12 and under) and female youth (12 and under) competitors. \nCan’t make it to Blossburg on November 11th but still want to participate\, register for our “Virtual Island Park 150” and you can receive the same race day medal and swag as those who participate in the live event. Requirements? Just register for the event and select the Virtual option\, then between November 1st and November 11th\, run\, walk\, bike\, swim\, yoga\, or do some form of exercise and let us know and we’ll get your medal and gifts mailed to you\, it’s that simple.

SUMMARY:Kids Kooking with Bretty Crocker (ages10+)
DESCRIPTION:This is where cooking is FUN!  We provide everything for you!  From your apron to your pots and pans\, all ingredients\, and even take-out containers. \nThis class is an extension of our Kids Cooking Camp from this summer. Your child can still take this class if they didn’t attend camp. Class will be approximately two hours long and this is for kids only\, ages 10-17.\n \nThis class is part of a three-part series. Dates for each class are 11/4\, 11/11 and 11/18. If you do not want to do the whole series\, single class reservations are accepted. \nIf booking the bundled package\, please just sign up and pay the bundled price on the November 4th class. \nCOST: $40 pp. Bundle all three dates for $110. \nNote:  Image does not necessarily reflect what is being in class.
