SUMMARY:Gmeiners' 55th Anniversary Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center is pleased to announce that the Main Gallery exhibit for October will be a full display of Arthur Gmeiner’s own work to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the opening of the center. Did you know that the building houses a permanent collection of more than 400 of Mr. Gmeiner’s oil paintings? The exhibit will open on Saturday\, October 12th with a reception from 2-4PM. The reception is free and open to the public\, who are invited to come enjoy light refreshments provided by members of the Wellsboro Art Club. This exhibit will remain on display until Sunday\, November 3rd.

DESCRIPTION:The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center is pleased to announce the Atrium Gallery exhibit for October\, the annual Wellsboro Art Club members exhibit. This exhibit demonstrates the members’ wide variety of styles and mediums\, and this year’s challenge to “work small.” The pieces may be small in size\, but they are large in creativity. The exhibit will open on Saturday\, October 12th with a reception from 2-4PM. The reception is free and open to the public\, who are invited to come enjoy light refreshments provided by members of the Wellsboro Art Club. This exhibit will remain on display until Sunday\, November 3rd.

DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss Gone With the Wind\, on Sunday October 20th at 2:00 p.m. at the lovely Victoria Theatre. Suggested Donation is $7.00. If you’ve never seen this on the big screen you have missed a monumental accomplishment in film history. See the first African American to receive an Oscar for best supporting actress-the famous Hattie McDonald! Incredible cinematography by directors\, Victor Fleming\, George Cukor and Sam Wood and fantastic production by David O. Selznick Studios. Unforgettable performances by Clark Gable\, Olivia DeHaviland and Vivien Leigh\, as Scarlett. We will have a trivia quiz at intermission and hot coffee\, tea or cappuccino are on the house! Mr. Bob Wooley of Blossburg\, who does Civil War Enactment\, will be joining us\, along with others\, in period costumes. He will gladly share information about the civil war period with us portrayed in the film. Come to the Victoria for our unique film experiences that are more than just watching a movie!
