DESCRIPTION:The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center is thrilled to announce the Atrium Gallery exhibit for November. “Fire and Function” a collection of wood-fired ceramics by William Moon. the opening reception for this and the Main Gallery exhibit will be held on Saturday\, November 9th from 2-4PM. The reception is free and open to the public\, who are invited to come enjoy light refreshments and hear about Bill’s “Imagine Peace” pottery. This exhibit will remain on display until Sunday\, December 1st.

DESCRIPTION:The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center is pleased to announce that the Main Gallery exhibit for November will be a photography display by Robert Blair of 32 of his annual Christmas card photographs called\, “A Blair House Original Limited Edition Christmas Card Collection: 1993 – 2024.” The 2024 photograph will be revealed at the opening reception which will be held on Saturday\, November 9th from 2-4PM. The reception is free and open to the public\, who are invited to come enjoy light refreshments and hear about Bob’s journey as a photographer. This exhibit will remain on display until Sunday\, December 1st.

SUMMARY:Dickens Hat Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center is thrilled to offer an 1843 Bonnet Making Workshop with renowned milliner Christine Moore. This class will take your Dickens costume to the next level with an authentic Victorian era hat design! The class will be held from 12:00 PM to 4:00PM on Sunday\, November 24th. The cost per student is $25 and most materials will be provided\, including: a premade buckram understructure\, millinery wire and clamps\, pre-made lining\, needles and pins\, white\, black\, red\, navy\, brown thread. Participants will pick the shape they prefer to make from Christine’s 2 bonnet sketches above. Students must bring their own scissors\, at least 1 yard of fabric in the color they choose to cover the buckram structure\, thread that matches their fabric choice\, and any ribbon or trim they would like to use on their bonnet. Christine will provide hands-on instruction and assistance. Students should leave the class with a completed bonnet. \nOpen to students ages 15 and older. Class is limited to 12 participants.
