DESCRIPTION:Poets\, Michael Czarnecki and Judith Sornberger\, join us for an afternoon of their poetry\, here at our theatre\, on Saturday\, November 30th\, at 2:00. Poetry\, music and refreshments make up this community event.\nTheir books along with book signing will be available. Tickets are $10 or purchase a book in lieu of entry fee! This should be a lovely afternoon to gather round\, meditate and let our imaginations soar as we take in the readings of these two\, very talented individuals. Michael is a writer\, as well as a skilled photographer who has traveled around the world sharing his writing and story telling\, authoring several collections\, including There is Only This Moment and Becoming Who I Needed to Be\, among several other works. Judith\, professor emerita of Mansfield University has also authored several books of poetry including\, Walmart Orchid\, two of four published works. We are excited to invite Michael and Judith to sojourn with us as we share in this experience together.

DESCRIPTION:The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center is thrilled to offer an 1843 Bonnet Making Workshop with renowned milliner Christine Moore. This class will take your Dickens costume to the next level with an authentic Victorian era hat design! The class will be held from 12:00 PM to 4:00PM on Sunday\, November 24th. The cost per student is $25 and most materials will be provided\, including: a premade buckram understructure\, millinery wire and clamps\, pre-made lining\, needles and pins\, white\, black\, red\, navy\, brown thread. Participants will pick the shape they prefer to make from Christine’s 2 bonnet sketches above. Students must bring their own scissors\, at least 1 yard of fabric in the color they choose to cover the buckram structure\, thread that matches their fabric choice\, and any ribbon or trim they would like to use on their bonnet. Christine will provide hands-on instruction and assistance. Students should leave the class with a completed bonnet. \nOpen to students ages 15 and older. Class is limited to 12 participants. The band was formed\nprimarily for educational assemblies in public schools in 2017 which rapidly evolved into performances at fairs\, clubs\, and special events. \n  \nTickets are $20\, and we will have table seating\, which is the standard for our BYOB shows. There are General Admissions risers in the back of the theatre and the opportunity to rent a table in the middle and front of the theatre. A small table is an additional $5 and seats 2-4 people. A large table is an additional $10 and seats 6-8 people. The only way to rent a table is to call our office at 570-724-6220.
