SUMMARY:The 15th Annual Old Time Farm Show and Threshing Bee
DESCRIPTION:An old-style threshing bee and farm show is scheduled for Saturday\, Sept. 14\, at a site just off Rt. 6 in Mina\, west of Coudersport. Klein Family Century Farm\, operated by Karl and Ilene Altenhein\, hosts the free event to preserve activities that were once a major part of rural living in the area. Starting at 10 am\, antique tractors\, sawmills\, pump jacks\, automobiles and engines will be on display. There will also be demonstrations of threshing\, sacking and straw-baling. A quilting cabin will be in operation with a spinning wheel display\, yard winders\, quilt in frame and old-time kitchen utensils. Serving of a chili lunch starts at 12:30. DESCRIPTION:RESCHEDULED FROM 8/3/2024 to 9/14/2024 DUE TO FORECASTED WEATHER.  Sheriff’s Night Out is rescheduled  Saturday\, September 14th. The event will be held 5-9 PM at Ives Run Federal Park. It is a FREE event! It is specifically designed to engage children and build the relationships between our community and law enforcement. All law enforcement\, fire and rescue\, emergency medical personnel and first responders here in Tioga County are invited to participate in the event!\n\n\nSheriff Frank Levindoski would also like to invite community organizations or clubs\, church groups\, local non-profits and children’s organizations to participate in the event. Groups willing to plan and operate activities during the event including games\, face painting\, balloon animals or other such activities are encouraged to participate.\n\n\nSponsors and volunteers are needed in order to offer activities\, food and refreshments free of charge to the public.
