The vision of the group is to give great musicians an opportunity to play jazz standards\, contemporary music and big band classics to enthusiastic audiences—and to nurture an appreciation of jazz music in the next generation of musicians and audiences. \nTickets are $20 and we will have table seating which is the standard for our BYOB shows. There are General Admissions risers located in the back of the theatre as well as the opportunity to rent a table located in the middle and front of the theatre. DESCRIPTION:The Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club’s youth Pennsylvania snowmobile safety course will be conducted on Saturday\, January 4\, 2025 at the Hyner Mountain\nSnowmobile Club lodge\, which is located approximately 6 miles north of Haneyville\, PA and directly across Route 44 from Pat Reeders Tavern in Clinton\nCounty.\nParents are to accompany their children to registration so that the required forms may be completed. Registration begins at 7:30 AM; class starts promptly at 8:00AM and will end by 4:00 PM. \nClass participants qualify for their certificate by completing their workbooks and achieving a score of 80% or better on the final examination. Students receive\ntheir safety certificates at the end of the course. \nPre-registration is required. Adults are encouraged to participate. The class is free and the Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club will provide lunch. \nAlso\, if there is rideable snow on the 1/4/25 class date\, adults are invited to bring snowmobiles and riding gear for themselves and their youth students so that the DCNR-specified Optional Performance Test can be administered to the youth students.\nTo pre-register for the course at the Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club\, please contact Dan Casey at 570-875-3006 or dcasey@ptd.net

DESCRIPTION:Registration encouraged\, but not required\, to relay information about weather and trail conditions.  \nTake a moonlit evening stroll along crisp\, wintery landscape. Join a park educator for a 1.5 mile walk along level ground on the Overnight Astronomy Observation Field. Snowshoes will be available as conditions and attendance allow. \nLearn about winter constellations and folklore along the way with a laser-guided tour of the night sky. Telescopes available if conditions are favorable.  After the hike\, sip on warm hot chocolate or tea by a fire in the historic CCC pavilion. \nFREE program for kids and adults alike. Just wear sturdy winter boots and warm clothes. \nIf you would like to receive info about weather/cancellations\, pre-register by noon on Saturday\, December 14.

SUMMARY:Winter Women in the Wilds
DESCRIPTION:Registration for our Winter Women in the Wilds  will open on December 2nd. \nThe Winter Women in the Wilds is a 3-day event\, beginning Friday\, January 31\, at 6:00 PM\, through Sunday\, February 2\, at 1:00 PM. \nThe Women in the Wilds event at Sinnemahoning State Park is a ladies-only weekend filled with fun outdoor recreation and environmental education classes. \nActivity choices for our 2025 winter event will include a mixture of indoor and outdoor classes such as cross-country skiing\, snowshoeing\,  interpretive walks\, nature crafts\, Dutch oven cooking\, and more. \nFee is $90 per person. Program fee includes choice of six outdoor recreation and interpretive classes\, One dinner\, two lunches\, plus all program materials and supplies. \nEquipment for cross country skiing and snowshoeing will be provided. Sizes are limited. \nProgram fee does NOT include overnight accommodations or breakfast either day. \nAll participants are responsible for finding and paying for their own overnight accommodations. A list of local cabins\, B&Bs\, and motels will be provided upon request. \nRegistration for the Winter WITW event is being managed by PA Parks and Forests Foundation and will open on Monday\, December 2\, 2024. \nRegistration closes on January 17\, 2025 or when all spots have been taken. \nIf you have any questions about the Winter WITW event at Sinnemahoning State Park\, please call the park office or email SinnemahoningSP@pa.gov.
