DESCRIPTION:Photograph the starry night sky with your DSLR camera & lenses you currently own. Curt Weinhold\, a PA Wilds Juried Artisan\, teaches you to photograph constellations & the Milky Way. Class is NOT for visitors wanting to take photos through a telescope. \nRegistration Required. Registration opens 45 days before class. Registration closes at 3 PM\, 2 days prior to class. Class size is limited to 10 seats\, with a waitlist availabile if class has filled. \nForeground material\, such as trees or buildings may also add to the composition. Samples of Curt’s work online: http://pbase.com/cwphoto \n— \nEssential Gear: \n\nDSLR Camera\nfully charged battery\nsturdy tripod\nwide angle lens preferred (Rokinon 14mm is popular & has reasonable cost)\nStrongly recommend a spare battery and a memory card.\nOptional: laptop with image editing software.\n\nParticipants should be familiar with changing camera settings and have either a dim red flashlight or a red screen app on their phone. DESCRIPTION:Curt Weinhold will be teaching a beginner/intermediate photography class at the Potter County Artisan Center on Wednesday\, Oct 9th from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm. Curt is a PA Wilds Juried Artisan\, former wedding photographer and teaches starry sky photography at Cherry Springs State Park. Curt will teach students how to set up their cameras for varying subjects and acquaint them with shutter speed\, f-stop and ISO.  Also covered in this class; the importance of proper lighting\, photo composition\, landscape photography and portraits.  This class is geared towards cameras with interchangeable lenses (DSLR). Please bring cameras to class. \n  \nTo register for these classes\, please call the center at 814-274-8165.  The co-op is located at 227 N. Main Street and is open from 12 pm to 4:00 pm Monday through Saturday.
