SUMMARY:Advanced Drawing Classes at the Gmeiner
DESCRIPTION:The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center is excited to offer a series of advanced drawing classes with Kathy Pilling-Whitney. Over the course of two classes\, Kathy will teach students how to draw forms turning in space. The classes will be held from 9:30 AM to 12 PM on two consecutive Saturdays\, September 16th and 23rd. These classes are free\, but students must provide their own materials. Open to students ages 16 and older. Pre-registration is required. To register\, please contact the director of the Gmeiner at 570-724-1917 or director@gmeinerartculturalcenter.org \nIn the first class\, students will learn how to draw sections of drapery\, aka “ribbons.” Then they will learn how to overlap and weave the ribbon design\, and finally how to shade the ribbons using color to push and pull the forms in space. The second class will build on those skills\, teaching students how to draw folds of drapery\, including clothing\, using charcoal. \nThe materials needed for these classes are: a pencil\, a kneaded (workable) eraser\, Vine willow charcoal\, colored pencils (Crayola or Prismacolor 12 or 24 set)\, 4 sheets of 12x 18\, 16x 20 or 18×24 inch white paper\, and 4 pieces of 16×20 or 18×24 inch white charcoal paper.

DESCRIPTION:Join park staff for a relaxing and informative tour around the lake\, as we cruise the shoreline of the George B. Stevenson Reservoir in search of wildlife. \nPontoon boat tours are scheduled to begin in June and continue until the end of September.  Tours are offered on most Sundays and other selected dates throughout the season\, with three tours offered on each date. \nThere is no fee for regular Sunday interpretive pontoon boat tours\, but DONATIONS ARE REQUESTED. \nGroup size is limited.  To reserve a seat\, please pre-register.  Pre-registration is not required but is strongly recommended. \nProgram time is 1 hour 15 minutes.  Life vests and binoculars will be provided.  After the passengers are fitted with life vests and seated on the boat\, the tour will last approximately one hour. \nIf you need an accommodation to participate in PA State Park activities due to a disability\, please contact the park you plan to visit.  With at least seven days’ notice\, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs. \nFor more information about programs at Sinnemahoning State Park\, please call the park office at 814-647-8401.

Over the course of two classes\, Kathy will teach students how to draw forms turning in space. The classes will be held from 9:30 AM to 12 PM on two consecutive Saturdays\, September 16th and 23rd. These classes are free\, but students must provide their own materials. Open to students ages 16 and older. Pre-registration is required. To register\, please contact the director of the Gmeiner at 570-724-1917 or director@gmeinerartculturalcenter.org \nIn the first class\, students will learn how to draw sections of drapery\, aka “ribbons.” Then they will learn how to overlap and weave the ribbon design\, and finally how to shade the ribbons using color to push and pull the forms in space. The second class will build on those skills\, teaching students how to draw folds of drapery\, including clothing\, using charcoal. \nThe materials needed for these classes are: a pencil\, a kneaded (workable) eraser\, Vine willow charcoal\, colored pencils (Crayola or Prismacolor 12 or 24 set)\, 4 sheets of 12x 18\, 16x 20 or 18×24 inch white paper\, and 4 pieces of 16×20 or 18×24 inch white charcoal paper.

SUMMARY:Pontoon Tour of the Stevenson Reservoir
DESCRIPTION:Join park staff for a relaxing and informative tour around the lake\, as we cruise the shoreline of the George B. Stevenson Reservoir in search of wildlife. \nPontoon boat tours are scheduled to begin in June and continue until the end of September.  Tours are offered on most Sundays and other selected dates throughout the season\, with three tours offered on each date. \nThere is no fee for regular Sunday interpretive pontoon boat tours\, but DONATIONS ARE REQUESTED. \nGroup size is limited.  To reserve a seat\, please pre-register.  Pre-registration is not required but is strongly recommended. \nProgram time is 1 hour 15 minutes.  Life vests and binoculars will be provided.  After the passengers are fitted with life vests and seated on the boat\, the tour will last approximately one hour. \nIf you need an accommodation to participate in PA State Park activities due to a disability\, please contact the park you plan to visit.  With at least seven days’ notice\, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs. \nFor more information about programs at Sinnemahoning State Park\, please call the park office at 814-647-8401.
