SUMMARY:Fall Hot Rod Run 2023
DESCRIPTION:Here is a rundown and map of this Fall’s Hotrod Run to Sinnemahoning State Park in Austin\, PA Dale Morgan and I have planned on Sunday October 8th. Motorcycles are welcome as well.\nMap and directions link:\nhttps://goo.gl/maps/iNYhNqAqH38cgjBV7\nWe will be meeting at the Portville Carwash at 8:30am\, leaving at 9am. We will then head south to Coudersport via Port Allegany on routes 446\, 155 and 6. We will stop for gas at Sheetz in Coudersport. Anyone from the Coudersport area is welcome to meet us at Sheetz\, leaving at approximately 10am. We will then head to the Sinnemahoning State Park via routes 6 and 872\, arriving around 10:30. We will spend between 1-2 hours here and at the Stevenson Dam down the road. There are bathroom facilities at the State Park. We will then head through Driftwood on route 120 to Emporium to stop for lunch at the Pizza Palace Plus. From there we will be returning home through Smethport on route 46.\nAny questions\, feel free to ask. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

SUMMARY:Pontoon Tour of the Stevenson Reservoir
DESCRIPTION:Join park staff for a relaxing and informative tour around the lake\, as we cruise the shoreline of the George B. Stevenson Reservoir in search of wildlife. \nPontoon boat tours are scheduled to begin in June and continue until the end of September.  Tours are offered on most Sundays and other selected dates throughout the season\, with three tours offered on each date. \nThere is no fee for regular Sunday interpretive pontoon boat tours\, but DONATIONS ARE REQUESTED. \nGroup size is limited.  To reserve a seat\, please pre-register.  Pre-registration is not required but is strongly recommended. \nProgram time is 1 hour 15 minutes.  Life vests and binoculars will be provided.  After the passengers are fitted with life vests and seated on the boat\, the tour will last approximately one hour. \nIf you need an accommodation to participate in PA State Park activities due to a disability\, please contact the park you plan to visit.  With at least seven days’ notice\, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs. \nFor more information about programs at Sinnemahoning State Park\, please call the park office at 814-647-8401.

Meetup will be at the Campbell Rest Area on 390/17 S at 10 AM… we’ll head down to the Canyon around 10:45 AM…we’ll go down through the picturesque Town of Wellsboro and then cruise through Delmar Township and Ansonia up the Colton Point Side…we’ll stop there to take in the view…then we’ll double back and hit up the Leonard Harrison Side…and again we’ll check out the view…this is a great side for eagle watching…then we’ll head back into Town and hit up the Wellsboro House for a late lunch. This is going to be an all day deal and it will be rain or shine…but it will be super fun. If you’re planning to come up from Southern Pennsylvania…you can meet us in Wellsboro by the Green Free Library…that’ll work out great too. See you on Sunday\, October 8th…

SUMMARY:Santa School Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Regionally known as “Coudy Santa”\, Pete Wyatt will be conducting a 3-part Santa school workshop at the Potter County Artisan Co-op. \nWyatt received instruction from the National Santa\, Tim Connaghan\, America’s Premier Santa\, in 2011 in Torrington\, Conn. He was also employed at Santa’s Workshop\, North Pole\, near Lake Placid in NY in 2012. Later he was the first Santa at Six Flags Great Adventure\, located in Jackson\, NJ\, for 3 years. \nTopics covered at the Coudersport workshop include creating an image of Santa\, business and marketing tips\, opportunities for appearances by Santa\, professional tips and much more. \nThe workshop will be spread over a 3-week period\, on Tuesdays\, October 3\, 10 and 17\, 2023\, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The cost is $20 for each class or $50 for all three. Registration is required. \nThe Potter County Artisan Co-op is located at 227 N. Main Street\, Coudersport Pa.
