DESCRIPTION:Coming to a Night Sky Program\, but arriving early? Join park staff for a family friendly Nature at Night Program! \nThese programs feature fascinating creatures that enjoy the night as much as we do at Cherry Springs. Possible topics include: fireflies\, owls\, bats\, black bears and more! \nRegistration is not required for Nature at Night programs. \n— \nLocation: Google Maps pin for parking here. Park programs occur on the Night Sky Public Viewing Area. Park in the gravel lot and follow the walkway next to the restrooms to the seating area. Bench seating is limited\, you may want to bring a chair and/or blanket. \nPets: No pets\, please. DESCRIPTION:Photograph the starry night sky with your DSLR camera & lenses you currently own. Curt Weinhold\, a PA Wilds Juried Artisan\, teaches you to photograph constellations & the Milky Way. Class is NOT for visitors wanting to take photos through a telescope. \nRegistration Required. Registration opens 45 days before class. Registration closes at 3 PM\, 2 days prior to class. Class size is limited to 10 seats\, with a waitlist availabile if class has filled. \nForeground material\, such as trees or buildings may also add to the composition. Samples of Curt’s work online: http://pbase.com/cwphoto \n— \nEssential Gear: \n\nDSLR Camera\nfully charged battery\nsturdy tripod\nwide angle lens preferred (Rokinon 14mm is popular & has reasonable cost)\nStrongly recommend a spare battery and a memory card.\nOptional: laptop with image editing software.\n\nParticipants should be familiar with changing camera settings and have either a dim red flashlight or a red screen app on their phone.
