SUMMARY:Learn to Fish Family Fishing Day at Lyman Run State Park
DESCRIPTION:Learn a new outdoor skill at Lyman Run State Park on Sunday\, May 24th from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM during Family Fishing Day. This program is intended for individuals or families of all ages with little or no fishing experience. Participants will be introduced to the basics of fishing safety\, casting\, how to bait a hook\, and all about the fish in Lyman Lake. This knowledge is put to use right away as we finish the day by fishing in the lake! \nNo one needs a fishing license to participate. Park educators will provide instruction\, and the park will provide rods\, tackle\, and bait to use during the program. A license exemption has been given to this educational program; participants do not need a fishing license to fish during the program time. Pre-registration is required for this program and space is very limited. SUMMARY:Pontoon Boat Rides at Sinnemahoning State Park
DESCRIPTION:Join Park staff for a relaxing and informative tour around the lake\, as you cruise the shoreline of the George B. Stevenson Reservoir in search of wildlife. \nPontoon boat tours are scheduled to begin in June and continue until September.  Tours are offered on most Sundays and other selected dates throughout the season\, with three tours offered on each date. \nThere is no fee for regular Sunday interpretive pontoon boat tours\, but DONATIONS ARE REQUESTED. \nGroup size is limited.  To reserve a seat\, please pre-register.  Pre-registration is not required but is strongly recommended. \nThe program time is 1 hour 15 minutes.  Life vests and binoculars will be provided.  After the passengers are fitted with life vests and seated on the boat\, the tour will last approximately one hour. \nMeets at: Lake Day Use Area \nTo Register: Register Here! \nIf you need an accommodation to participate in PA State Park activities due to a disability\, please contact the park you plan to visit.  With at least seven days’ notice\, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs. \nFor more information about programs at Sinnemahoning State Park\, please call the park office at 814-647-8401.
