DESCRIPTION:The popularity of the Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association’s HERYN (Helping Engage our River’s Youth with Nature) kayaking and fishing program days and recent development of a Northern Tier Regional Director position has led to a new Northern Tier HERYN program opportunity to be held July 24 and 25 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Each day will offer the same program to 20 different participants divided into two 10-person groups each day. \nThe program will take place at the Sugarbush Pavilion of the Hills Creek State Park near Wellsboro.  The program will contain intro to kayaking and fishing instruction as well as a Plants Hike and Stream Study. \nParticipants should be between the ages of 10 and 15 and will be learning the fundamentals of kayaking and fishing\, as well as gaining a sense of environmental stewardship through watershed conservation. \nThe program is offered free to participants and all equipment is provided. Participants are required to pack their own lunch\, bring a refillable water bottle\, sunscreen and an extra change of clothing as well as appropriate footwear for watersports (ideally hard-soled water shoes). \nRegistration is capped at 20 participants per day and will be filled in a first-registered\, first-secured order using the following form. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday\, July 26 at 6 p.m.\, the free outdoor summer concert series that will feature Drowsy Maggie performing a mix of Americana\, old-time\, folk\, bluegrass and Celtic music\, both instrumental and vocal arrangements\, on the outdoor stage at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro. The outdoor stage is located on the Central Avenue side of the building.\n\n\nAudience members are welcome to bring lawn chairs and sit on the grassy area in front of the outdoor stage or on Central Avenue\, which will be closed to traffic between Main Street and the Warehouse Theatre from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Friday.\n\n\nIf weather becomes an issue\, this free concert will be moved indoors into the Deane Center’s Coolidge Theatre. Donations are always appreciated.\n\n\nDrowsy Maggie is composed of five musicians. Danny Shipe and Molly Cary are both lead and harmony vocalists with Cary on guitar and Shipe on guitar and banjo. Daria Lin-Guelig plays hammered dulcimer and concertina. Base camp will be set up at Lake Harris\, from there campers will enjoy a week of backpacking\, hiking\, cooking outdoors\, astonishing views\, building friendships and experiencing God’s creation first hand! The Adirondacks is an extraordinary place to visit and allows amazing opportunities to grow closer to God! \n\n\nParents of Campers take note:\n• Campers must be in good physical condition\n• We will be on the trail for multiple days and nights without access to running water/electricity.\n• Everyone will be expected to carry their own gear/supplies as well as a portion of the food/gear needed for the group.\n• Campers need to bring appropriate hiking clothing and footwear. Sneakers are not recommended footwear.\n• Pack light! DESCRIPTION:The Endless Mountains Music Festival returns to the Gmeiner this year with “Sweet Sounds of Violin and Piano” featuring Noelle Tretick Gosling\, violin and Érico Freire Bezerra\, piano.
