DESCRIPTION:The Potter County Artisan Co-op will host the Second Annual Student Art Show that will run from May 3 – May 17. \nHighlighting the artistic talents of students from five participating school districts\, encompassing grades Primary through 12\, the center encourages our community and visitors to mark your calendar and support the artistic growth of young people from our region.. \nTo open the event\, the Co-op will host a reception and a hands-on creative project for attendees as part of The Remake Learning Days on May 3 from 1-3pm.  Treats and crafts available for all during this time to celebrate the beginning of the student art show.

SUMMARY:Woodhick Day Education Program
DESCRIPTION:What is a “Woodhick”? \nA ‘woodhick’ is a colloquial term for someone who worked in the lumber industry during the late 19th and early 20th century.  Like the term’s ‘lumberjack’\, ‘woodcutter’\, or ‘logger\,’  Woodhick describes expert laborers who used axes\, saws\, spuds\, and a variety of other hand tools in their work harvesting lumber. \nStudent groups and homeschoolers will experience learning stations across the museum providing students with the opportunity to watch demonstrations\, try hands-on activities and talk with knowledgeable staff to discover what it was like to work in Pennsylvania’s forests. Through its evolution\, the band has been carefully constructed to create the essence of the Clapton sound\, from his guitar arrangements to his distinctive vocal sound. DESCRIPTION:Galeton is the place to be on Saturday\, May 10th for what is always one of the region’s favorite events! \nThe Galeton Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its fifth annual King of the Wing chicken wing cook off contest on Saturday\, May 10th from 10am-5pm at the John J. Collins Memorial (Centertown) Park in Galeton.  Plan now to join friends new and old for a day filled with family fun\, great food\, and entertainment – all for the love of the “Buffalo Wing” and to raise money for the Galeton Fireworks Committee. \nWings will be judged at 4:30pm.
