DESCRIPTION:Join Park staff for a relaxing and informative tour around the lake\, as you cruise the shoreline of the George B. Stevenson Reservoir in search of wildlife. \nPontoon boat tours are scheduled to begin in June and continue until the end of September.  Tours are offered on most Sundays and other selected dates throughout the season\, with three tours offered on each date. \nThere is no fee for regular Sunday interpretive pontoon boat tours\, but DONATIONS ARE REQUESTED. \nGroup size is limited.  To reserve a seat\, please pre-register.  Pre-registration is not required but is strongly recommended. \nThe program time is 1 hour 15 minutes.  Life vests and binoculars will be provided.  After the passengers are fitted with life vests and seated on the boat\, the tour will last approximately one hour. \nIf you need an accommodation to participate in PA State Park activities due to a disability\, please contact the park you plan to visit.  With at least seven days’ notice\, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs. \nFor more information about programs at Sinnemahoning State Park\, please call the park office at 814-647-8401.

Maclay was a surveyor who embarked on an expedition in 1790 to the heart of the PA wilds region to survey the headwaters of the Susquehanna and Allegheny Rivers\, keeping a diary of his experiences along the way. Discover the rich history behind Cherry Springs State Park\, growing from a small stop on a winding mountain throughway to a region hosting multiple Civilian Conservation Corps Camps.\n\n\n\nCounting down to America’s 250th birthday on July 4\, 2026\, DCNR has partnered with America250PA to celebrate the role of Pennsylvania’s public outdoor spaces and their impact on the Commonwealth. Focusing on America250PA’s theme of “Educate\, Preserve\, Innovate\, and Celebrate” (EPIC)\, DCNR is helping to engage citizens in all 67 counties to commemorate this momentous occasion. The distance walked during this event and any other hosted by DCNR can be used for America250PA’s Road to 2026 Celebrate Pennsylvania challenge. \nAll ages. Walk will be about a mile over slightly hilly grassy and graveled ground. No registration needed.  \nPark visitors to the programs please leave their pets at home\, as dogs are not permitted at Cherry Springs State Park. \n🗺️Where: Use entrance here\, park in the lot. Meet your guide at the kiosk by the restrooms. \n💼Bring: Red-light flashlight for later\, extra layers/blankets\, and a folding/camp chair. \n🚫Leave at home: Pets (only trained service animals allowed)\, alcohol\, recreational drugs.

DESCRIPTION:Look through park telescopes at some of the key features of the night sky – planets\, stars\, moon and more. Under the guidance of our volunteers and staff\, embark on an amazing telescope tour of the night sky. We’ll run the scopes\, you’ll enjoy the view! \nTelescopes available on a first-come\, first-serve basis for the time listed. Availability is subject to staff/volunteer availability\, weather conditions\, and crowd size limitations. \nNo need to register. All programs will be cancelled in the event of rain or thunder. Check the Clear Sky Chart or AccuWeather Stargazing Forecasts for forecasts of cloud cover and viewing conditions. For weather forecasts\, use the nearby towns of Galeton and Coudersport. \n🗺️Where: Use entrance here\, park in the lot. Walk around the hill to the viewing field\, the Night Sky Public Viewing Area. \n💼Bring: Red-light flashlight\, extra layers/blankets\, and a folding/camp chair. \n🚫Leave at home: Pets (only trained service animals allowed)\, alcohol\, recreational drugs. \n  \nPlease be advised that park visitors must please leave their pets at home. DESCRIPTION:An free opportunity to learn a favorite winter activity is happening February 8th at the Wildlife Center in Sinnemahoning State Park. \nSnowshoeing is a great way to explore your favorite trails in winter. Snowshoes and trekking poles will be\nprovided. Program will begin indoors with an introduction to snowshoeing equipment and styles\, followed by\na guided practice instruction on level ground\, then a short excursion on the trail. If snow depth is insufficient\nfor snowshoeing\, the indoor portion of the program will still be held\, followed by a roughly 2 mile nature\nhike. Registration Required.
