SUMMARY:A Christmas Carol
DESCRIPTION:Focusing on Dickens’ powerful language\, humor and warmth\, this charming version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL simply and directly tells the story of the redemption of a human soul. The play follows the ever-powerful story of Scrooge\, a lonely miser\, who\, through the help of spirits and visions from his past\, present and future\, finds a second chance to become a loving\, generous human being. Adapted for a company of six actors\, accompanied by a fiddler\, the play requires a minimum of sets\, costumes and props. It begins with a child reading the story for the first time. As the scenes are played out behind him\, the child becomes totally caught up in the story and is finally invited by the other characters to enter the play as one of them. With traditional carols and English folk tunes creating the proper atmosphere\, the world of Scrooge\, Fezziwig and Tiny Tim comes alive\, igniting the holiday spirit for young and old alike.\nThis adaptation is just 1 hour in duration.\nPerformances at 10:30AM\, 1:30PM and 3:30PM are in the Coolidge Theatre.\nPerformances at 11AM\, 1PM\, 4 PM as well as Sunday at 2:30 are at the Warehouse Theatre.\nAll seats on Saturday are $25 (large group pricing available) and the Sunday performance is Pay What You Wish.\n\nTo purchase tickets\, visit https://hgp.booktix.com/

SUMMARY:Night of the Living Dead Live
DESCRIPTION:Night of the Living Dead™ Live is a fun and hilarious re-imagining of George A. Romero’s legendary classic. Set in 1968 and presented in all black and white\, it literally feels like the film has been brought to life and placed onstage. The play lovingly examines the movie itself\, the period in which it was made\, and the film’s undying influence on the horror genre.\nNight of the Living Dead™\, the film\, was produced at a time of incredible social and political upheaval. The film was met with controversy for featuring an African American protagonist and realistic horror images; and yet\, possibly the most controversial element to Night of The Living Dead™ was the ending… Everybody dies! Even the hero doesn’t survive.\nMore than just a recreation of the story\, the play celebrates the history and influence of the movie. Through a series of multiple endings\, the characters are all faced with different issues and challenges while desperately trying to survive the night. However\, their contrasting personalities and agendas always seem to prevent the group from working together. Which leaves us all wondering: Could anyone survive a night of the living dead?\n\nVisit\, https://hgp.booktix.com/ to purchase tickets

DESCRIPTION:For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This\, however\, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs… who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world. This clever and inventive play “never goes more than a minute without a laugh”\, giving you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children.\n\nMatt Cox is a playwright\, actor\, improviser\, sound designer and former comic book retail associate based in New York City. His play Puffs\, Or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years At A Certain School Of Magic & Magic (2016 Off-Broadway Alliance Best Theatrical Experience Nominee) began as small show made by friends at a small comedy venue\, the People’s Improv Theater. It has since broken records off-Broadway in New York\, was screened in movie theaters across the country with Fathom Events\, and its production in Melbourne\, Australia is Melbourne’s longest-running play of the century.\n\nPlease visit\, https://hgp.booktix.com/ to purchase tickets.

SUMMARY:Once Upon a Crime\, The Trial of Goldilocks
DESCRIPTION:Will justice be served in this hilarious fairy-tale courtroom play packed with characters we all know and love? Goldilocks is the defendant\, on trial for breaking and entering. The plaintiffs are — you guessed it — the three bears. As their lawyers Henny Penny and Tom Thumb go toe-to-toe hoping to prove their respective clients’ cases\, other fairy tale characters are called to testify as witnesses\, including Hansel and Gretel\, Jack and Cow\, and Granny. Even the Big Bad Wolf takes the stand\, but can any of these witnesses be trusted themselves? Is Goldilocks guilty or innocent? Come and find out in this comedic courtroom farce where it’s up to the audience\, which serves as the jury\, to determine how the play ends! HG performances are General Admission. In most cases\, the theatre will be opened for you to choose your seats 30 minutes prior to the performance. Even though you are prepaid\, most events do not allow for seating after the performance begins\, as it is disruptive to other patrons. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the show begins.\n\nTo purchase tickets online\, visit https://hgp.booktix.com/ or call 570-724-2079.

SUMMARY:Interactive Puppetry Workshops at the Warehouse Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Hamilton-Gibson Productions hosts visiting artist Ethan Rice for a day of interactive learning and play with puppets on Saturday June 8th at the Warehouse Theatre in Wellsboro. \nThe workshop is offered to participants of all ages. It will start with a morning session from 10am – 12pm focused on learning all about different kinds of puppets and how they’ve been used through the ages. Participants will also learn about how influences from people\, animals\, and the materials used to make the puppets can enhance their believability.   After a lunch break\, a session from 1pm-3pm will be interactive and hands-on\, offering the chance to try your own puppet and learn how to handle them to enhance storytelling\, character expression\, and other techniques that bring the puppets to life. \nInstructor Ethan Rice is a life-long puppeteer who studied theater at Centenary University. In addition to acting\, stage managing\, and makeup designing he played the character Trekkie Monster in Centenary Stage Company’s production of Avenue Q\, a musical with eleven puppet characters who play alongside the three human characters. This production renewed his passion for puppetry and began his journey in crafting his own puppets. \nThe Puppetry Workshop for All Ages\, Saturday June 8th at 10am and 1pm at The Warehouse Theater at 3 Central Ave in Wellsboro\, is $20 for a single session\, or $30 for both sessions. Family rates are available. Please call Hamilton-Gibson Productions at 570-724-2079 for info or to register\, or go to www.HamiltonGibson.org.
