It’s great opportunity to get outside in the colder months to see the winter beauty of Lyman Run. \nNote that the Rock Run trail can be steep in places\, and has basketball sized rocks. Hiking poles and boot traction devices encouraged for stability. \nBe prepared with water-resistant hiking boots\, traction devices\, hiking poles/sticks\, and water. SUMMARY:Introduction To Fly Fishing
DESCRIPTION:PRE-Registration is required. To register go to:  https://www.register-ed.com/events/view/200272 \nGoing to catch a star show at Cherry Springs? Why not catch a fish first! This Intro to Fly-Fishing class is capped at 20 participants. This 4hr program will provide participants with 2hrs of hands-on instruction of equipment assembly\, knot tying\, aquatic macroinvertebrates\, and casting. The remaining 2hrs provides participants with on-water fishing experience\, with guidance from PFBC staff and PFBC Fishing Skills Instructors. Fly fishing gear and instruction is provided for the duration of the program at no cost to participants! DESCRIPTION:Have fun out on the water this July 4th! Join our experienced kayak guides from Friends of Lyman Run and DCNR Staff for a relaxing paddle around the lake. Search for wildlife\, explore the shore\, and learn about the history of the park. Use our kayaks\, or bring your own. \nPre-registration is required to ensure enough boats for everyone and to relay weather-related program changes. \nOpen to adults and youth ages 5 and up.  Youth under 13 need an adult. Kayaks\, paddles\, and life jackets provided. Life jackets must be worn for the program. \nParking: Park in the Dagget Day Use parking lot\, go to the pavilion to meet your guides. No parking at boat launch or along lakeside. \nProgram will be cancelled in the event of lightning or heavy rain. \n—– \nIn the “Additional Info We Should Know” section of the online registration… \nPlease let us know if if you will be borrowing park kayaks or bringing your own. Any personal kayaks must have current DCNR launch permit to participate. \nQuestions?
