SUMMARY:Run Past Cancer 5k and Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 9th\, there is a fun filled community event planned in Mansfield. This event\, sponsored by the American Cancer Society with Tioga Running Club\, is an opportunity to raise money and help cancer patients in Tioga County.\nTo get involved join us at Smythe Park in Mansfield on November 9th\, as we run and walk past cancer. \nChecking-in for the events begins at 8:30AM\, on November 9th\, at Smythe Park. \nThe registration day of fee for the 1 mile walk run is $15 with a maximum fee of $30 for immediate family members. The cost for the 5K run is $25.  All of the money raised at this event will go to eradicating cancer and helping patients in Tioga County. \nMany community members have donated gifts to make this event extra special. Everyone who participates in either of the walk/run events will receive a free small ice cream from Wellsboro Creamery. Top runners in the 5K event will win medals. Also remember\, all participants are encouraged to ramp up the fun by wearing costumes. The top costume participants will be awarded prizes. DESCRIPTION:JOIN US FOR A FUN AND UGLY SWEATER-THEMED 5K RACE THAT WILL GET YOU IN SHAPE AND PUT YOU IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT! \nThe Ugly Sweater 5k will be held on December 16th at Smythe Park in Mansfield. You will be able to register that morning at the pavilion. Shirts will be available for pick up at this time also. Registration will be open from 8:45-9:45\, but you are able to register before that. The race will start at 10 AM. A course map will be available for participants\, and there will be people along the course to guide you. People walking the course will start at 9:45. SUMMARY:Mansfield Hymn Fest - FREE CONCERT
DESCRIPTION:The Mansfield Lions Club will host its annual free concert in Smythe Park July 30\, 2023.  Five choirs are lined up\, one of them the Wellsboro Men’s Chorus.  The other choirs are from Whitneyville\, two from Mansfield and Roseville\, and we have guest Southern gospel singer Michael Booth\, a member of the Booth Brothers Trio\, who will sing in between.  About 45 traditional hymns will be sung. Booth will sing some of the newer ones that aren’t in the hymnals. \nBring your own chairs.
