You don’t want to miss a single thing in Potter and Tioga counties!  Your imagination is the only limit on what you and your family can do for today’s adventure.

Potter County

They call it “God’s Country” and after just one visit, it’s easy to see why. With over a million acres of pristine wilderness, 8 state parks and nearly half of its land designated as state forest and game lands, Potter County is a haven for those looking to relax and unwind, get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnect with nature. It’s also home to the darkest skies and brightest stars in the eastern United States. In fact, the Travel Channel recently named Potter County’s Cherry Springs State Park as the best place on Earth to go stargazing.

While we’re most famous for our skies, we are down to earth; quirky and authentic; charm not chain; wild yet welcoming; rugged and resourceful. We find great joy in exploration and discovery, and in cultivating relationships between people and the environment. Come visit and enjoy our way of life, if only for a little while. Once you visit, you’ll want to come back – most people do. Write your own stories and create your own memories here in God’s Country.

Tioga County

Visit our many attractions including maple producers, apiaries, antique and unique shops. Spend the night at any of our lodging facilities, which you can search, through our lodging availability area of the site.

Explore the numerous birding, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, fishing or hunting hot spots. And to top off a great get-away, stay for one of our many festivals including the Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival, the Blossburg Coal Festival, the Fabulous 1890’s Weekend, and others listed in our calendar of events.

Tioga County is home to 3 state parks, 2 federal parks, seven lakes, the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon and the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Leave the hustle and bustle behind as you discover the charm of our quaint towns, the action of the outdoors and the breathtaking scenery of our landscape. From the 50-mile long gorge of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon to numerous lakes and streams in the county, you will be sure to find a treasure around every bend in the road which is even easier using our of our driving tours. Travel along historic Route 6, scenic Route 287 or Route 15 to get to Tioga County.
