Driftwood – Energizing Americana Folk Rock – Concert

Wellsboro Community Concert Association is thrilled to present Driftwood, an Energizing Americana Folk Rock performance on Saturday, November 8rh, at 7:30 pm at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts.
The five-member band from Binghamton, New York, has been performing Americana folk rock with a nod to 1960s R&B, 1970s country rock, contemporary pop, folk and traditional Appalachian music since 2009. They’re known for electrifying live performances, with melodies, harmonies, and lyrics bringing unique, raw sounds to the Americana/roots music scene. Driftwood has released six albums to date. Driftwood’ is composed of founding members Joe Kollar (Banjo & Guitar) and Dan Forsyth (Guitar) along with Claire Byrne (Violin), Joey Arcuri (Upright Bass) and Sam Fishman (Drums). Kollar, Forsyth and Byrne write original songs for the group and share the role of lead vocalist. Arcuri also sings. “We find our biggest inspiration amongst each other,” notes Claire Byrne. “We are constantly inspiring each other to do better.” The Driftwood concert on November 8th is for the public who purchase individual tickets. (Driftwood on November 7th is only for Season Subscribers and is the third concert of the WCCA 77th 6-Concert Season.)
