Nature at Night: Owl Prowl

June 28 at 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

FREE

Whoooo’s there?

After a half-hour presentation exploring owl traits and identification, we will hit the trail to listen (and look) for owls! They can be a little shy, so be prepared to silently stand still at times.

Wear suitable footwear for potentially damp grass, bring a red-light flashlight if you have one. Walk will be about 1 mile over mostly level grass and gravel surfaces.

Location: Google Maps pin for parking here. Park programs occur on the Night Sky Public Viewing Area. Park in the lot and follow the gravel walkway next to the restrooms to the seating area. Bench seating is limited, you may want to bring a chair and/or blanket.

Pets: No pets, please. Trained service animals welcome.  Dim lighting, large crowds and sensitive equipment can create do not create a pet-friendly environment. We ask that park visitors leave their pets at home.

Weather:  All programs will be cancelled in the event of thunder or downpours.
