Doogie Horner, author and illustrator of The Adventures of Invisible Boy graphic novel series, will be greeting fans and talking about his work at Pop’s Culture Shoppe on Saturday, February 22 at 2:00pm!
Doogie’s first book in the series was distinguished as the 2024 best graphic novel for elementary school readers by The Week Junior, and now Book #2 The Adventures of Invisible Boy: Zeroes to Heroes is hot off the press! From 2:00-2:30 Horner will give a presentation suitable for ages 6-12 about creating comic books, and then will be available for questions and book signings until 4pm.
Doogie’s work includes books for teens and adults too, and Pop’s will have a selection available for purchase and signing. Raised in Pennsylvania, he studied design at Tyler School of Art and Architecture in Philadelphia, and spent his early career designing book covers, working at Quirk Books for about ten years. Doogie also does stand-up and you may have seen him as a semi-finalist on America’s Got Talent. With his diverse writing, design, and comedic talents, Horner’s work has something for everyone.
