Join the park’s summer intern for a walk on the Lowlands trail and learn about common native and invasive plant species found at Sinnemahoning State Park. Meet at the Wildlife Center!

Discover the life of one of PA’s most intriguing and, at times, frightening reptiles: the Timber Rattlesnake. Stacy Foster, a certified Timber Rattlesnake monitor, will share her passion for the conservation of this species and provide an up-close look at a live wild specimen!

Celebrate the start of National Moth Week by checking the Park’s moth sheet with a park educator and learning more about the diversity of moths found at Sinnemahoning.

Join a park naturalist in an investigation of the amazing diversity of insects found at Sinnemahoning. All tools to catch, and study these small creature will be provided.

Learn about the Pennsylvania Game Commissions efforts to restore Bald Eagle populations in the state through conservation and reintroduction.

Take a relaxing paddle out on the lake in search of wildlife and recreation!  Borrow the park’s kayaks and equipment or bring your own. Open to participants age 10 to adult.   Group size is limited. Pre-registration is required.

Kick off your 4th of July holiday with a healthy morning hike on the Red Spruce & Low Lands Trail. The hike is approximately 2 miles and does traverse some areas of uneven ground. Meets at: 40 Maples Day Use Area

Join a park educator to learn more about River Otters and make an Otter mask!

Learn about the ongoing Pennsylvania Bird Atlas project and spend the morning looking for and documenting breeding birds with a park educator.

Enjoy a guided ride through the park on the Lowlands Trail. Bring your own bike or check out one of the park’s loaner bikes. A park educator will lead the trip. Pre-Registration is Required if you plan to use one of the park's bikes.
